Better for health, skin and hair
Almost everyone understands the importance of a drinking water quality. But the quality of water which comes from your shower still is underestimated. Meanwhile our skin is the largest organ in our body and absorbs ingredients and components of every product you use on your skin including everything what your tap water consists of while taking a shower or getting a bath. The warmer water you use for your bath the more harmful it might be with the presence of chlorine in the water as temperature can turn chlorine into gas, which goes directly into your respiratory system and your bloodstream through the skin.
Getting chlorine into your body may cause skin irritation, increase of allergy symptoms, long term hair damage, difficulty breathing, sore throat, cough, eye irritation, dental damage, may disrupt the balance of microbiome, cause dandruff, and even birth defects. Chlorine also effects the Vitamin E and other fatty acids that makes your skin and hair stay healthy, smooth and hydrated. Looks like that one of the first steps to the healthier lifestyle should be a water filter which can remove chlorine from the the tap water. And it must be done not just for drinking water but for the water in your shower and bathroom.
“Chlorine ingested from the lungs or absorbed from the skin during a 10 minute shower can be much more hazardous than drinking 8 glasses of chlorine contaminated tap water.”
“Science News reported that researchers found increases in chloroform in study participants’ lungs of about 2.7ppb after a 10-minute shower. Combined with warm water opening pores, skin absorption and lung inhalation during a 10-minute shower showed to be greater than the amount that would be ingested by drinking 8 glasses of the same water.”
“A study conducted that women who drank or took showers in unfiltered water laced with chlorine and chloramine contamination resulted in various complications with the pregnancy, including spontaneous abortions, stillbirth, low birth weight, premature delivery, and a spectrum of birth defects ranging from nerve damage to weak hearts. Mineral spa haven
in your own bathroom
One thing is to filter your water. Simple and necessary. But if we are talking about something not just basic but also beneficial and caring for your entire body, you might consider a mineral spa system in your own shower. Imagine something what makes an endless stream of healthy ionized mineral water, while removing harmful substances.
Two filters (an active charcoal filter and a Futama-ceramic inner filter) which effectively remove chlorine, bacteria, and dirt and protect your skin, body and hair from the ruinous effects of tap water. It is literally makes your bathroom a natural hot spring haven with moisturizing minerals and ingredients that are healthy for your skin and hair. The system has calcium mineral stone from the Futama Radium Hot Spring in Japan, MIC Stone and Neodymium Magnet. Unfamiliar words which “mean” transformation of your tap water into gentle, less irritating hot spring water with soothing and relaxing effect.

Get in touch with me
Several years ago when I started to change my approach to my life choices and lifestyle I constantly had headaches and PMS pains along with skin problems and other issues. Of course I knew about essential oils but mostly used them in my diffusers. On the other hand I always knew about power of natural herbs which is well-know and popular in Russia and Ukraine in many families. Traveling around America, I did not often came across walkable fields and meadows. Basically, they are almost always someone's private property. So when I ended up in one beautiful meadow in Yosemite, the smell of meadow grasses and flowers brought me back to my childhood.
Pictures come to my mind when I visited my grandmother in Ukraine. We not only ran through the grass fields as children, but also used the gifts of meadows and forests in our everyday life. My grandmother always made tea with thyme and lemon balm. And if suddenly the tummy ached, then chamomile and St. John's wort tea relieved spasms. Widow's-thrill infusion always helped with the cold symptoms...
The thousand-year history of "traditional" medicine and naturopathy don't need an advertising anymore, but I still meet people who do not know about the therapeutic power of herbs and spices and their infusions or oils. Or those who again and again prefer pills, even for the simplest issues. Well, this is everyone's personal choice.
My health issues wasn't that simple but healthy water and essential oils along with the holistic approaches changed my life and health completely. No more headaches, PMS symptoms, skin issues. Even if I feel the pain I forgot what does it mean to take a pill to kill it. Natural remedies are working for me.
As an example here you can find a list of some of the most popular in Russia herbs and their essential oils:
Lemon balm (Melissa)
